The course aims at providing basic education in Ayurveda leading to the degree of B.A.M.S. It aims at preparing graduates of profound scholarship in the science of Ayurveda having basic and fundamental knowledge in different subjects of Ayurveda backed up by extensive practical training. He should become an efficient teacher, a research scholar and a competent Ayurvedic physician (Kayachikitsaka) and surgeon alth services of the Country.

Ayurveda is one of the ancient medical systems of the world. It traces its roots to the Vedic period. It is not only providing the cure but also prevent the recurrence of diseases. According to the Ayurvedic, there are only three kinds of dysfunctions or disorders in human body Kapha, Pitta and Vata.

Duration: 5 years
Qualifying age: Must have completed 17 years as on 31st December of year of admission to the main course..
Eligibility: Must have passed higher secondary school certificate examination after 12 years of schooling with physics, chemistry and biology subjects.
