Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences formerly known as Karnataka Medical College, Hubli was established in 1957. The Autonomous Institute has been approved by MCI. KIMS is known for its flagship MBBS program. MBBS students are selected based on NEET-UG score followed by the counselling. The NEET cutoff for MBBS admission at the Institute is 147. 

Candidates applying for MD and MS program must have a valid NEET-PG score. For applying to B.Sc Nursing, students are required to qualify NEET followed by the counselling process. Admission to Diploma Courses is based on NEET-PG score. KIMS has a total of 15% reserved seats in MBBS under All India Quota. The mode of application is both Online and Offline
